Fudoh: The New Generation 4K Ultra HD + Region B Blu-ray presents Takashi Miike’s 1996 crime film in a Standard Edition UK import release from Radiance Films. Shosuke Tanihara stars as Riki Fudoh, a high school student balancing academic life with a secret role as an underworld boss.
 
Leading a group of school-age assassins, Fudoh launches a violent campaign against the criminal underworld as part of a revenge plot against his own father, a high-ranking Yakuza figure who was forced to kill Fudoh’s brother. What follows is a wild, confrontational and darkly comic descent into family betrayal, youth rebellion and organized crime.
 
Originally planned as a direct-to-video V-cinema title, Fudoh: The New Generation was given a theatrical release after producers saw the finished film, later becoming a festival favourite and helping establish Miike internationally as one of cinema’s great provocateurs. This Standard Edition features a 4K restoration by Media Blasters from the best available archive elements, with both 4K UHD and Blu-ray presentations, original uncompressed mono audio, Miike introduction, commentary, archival interviews, improved subtitles and newly commissioned artwork.
