A Colt Is My Passport Limited Edition (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

A Colt Is My Passport Limited Edition Blu-ray presents one of the greatest Japanese crime films ever made, a lean and stylish masterpiece from Nikkatsu's golden era. Featuring a career-defining performance from Joe Shishido, this influential noir blends hard-boiled crime drama with the visual language of the spaghetti western, culminating in one of the most celebrated finales in Japanese cinema.

A Colt Is My Passport follows solitary hitman Kamimura after a routine contract collapses into betrayal. Marked for death by the very people who hired him, he flees with only his gun, his personal code and a woman inadvertently caught up in his escape. As he moves through desolate industrial landscapes toward an inevitable confrontation, Kamimura remains determined to face his fate on his own terms.

Filmed in striking black-and-white, the film distils noir to its purest form through sparse dialogue, meticulous compositions and sudden bursts of violence. A cornerstone of Nikkatsu's action cycle, A Colt Is My Passport remains one of the coolest and most influential crime films ever produced.
