Billy Liar Collector's Edition (UK Import) [4K Ultra HD + Region B Blu-ray]

Billy Liar Collector's Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray is one of the defining films of the British New Wave, combining sharp social observation, bittersweet comedy and unforgettable performances. Directed by John Schlesinger and adapted from Keith Waterhouse's acclaimed novel, the film launched Tom Courtenay to stardom and features an early breakthrough performance from Julie Christie.

Billy Fisher spends his days trapped between a dead-end job, family pressures and a future he desperately wants to escape. Retreating into elaborate fantasies where he is admired, successful and important, Billy struggles to face reality. When the free-spirited Liz enters his life, he is finally offered a genuine opportunity to leave his frustrations behind and pursue something better. The question is whether Billy can stop dreaming long enough to take it.

A landmark of 1960s British cinema, Billy Liar remains a witty, poignant and deeply relatable portrait of ambition, escapism and growing up.
