Exiled (2006) (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Exiled Blu-ray presents Johnnie To’s 2006 Hong Kong gangster film in an Australian import region free release. Set in Macau, the film follows Wo, a former gangster who returns home despite having a price on his head, forcing old friendships and criminal loyalties into a deadly collision.

When Boss Fay orders Wo’s death, Blaze is sent to carry out the hit, while another lifelong friend, Tai, is determined to protect him. As rival loyalties tighten, Exiled builds its tension through quiet standoffs, sudden bursts of action and the powerful bond between men who know violence may be unavoidable.

Widely regarded as one of Johnnie To’s great gangster films, Exiled combines stylized action, widescreen compositions and themes of honour, brotherhood and survival. This Blu-ray edition includes two new Frank Djeng commentaries, new video essay, new interview, archival extras, improved subtitles, first-pressing booklet and reversible numbered sleeve.
