King Kong Lives (1986) (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

King Kong Lives (1986) Blu-ray continues the story of the giant ape first introduced in Dino De Laurentiis' 1976 remake of King Kong. Combining action, adventure and creature-feature spectacle, this cult sequel stars Linda Hamilton, Brian Kerwin and John Ashton in a larger-than-life tale of survival, romance and destruction.

Years after his fall from the World Trade Center, Kong remains alive but comatose under the care of scientists at the Atlantic Institute. When doctors determine that he requires an artificial heart and a rare blood transfusion to survive, adventurer Hank Mitchell is sent on a dangerous expedition to locate a compatible donor. His search leads him to Lady Kong, setting in motion a chain of events that unleashes chaos when Kong awakens and attempts to reunite with his newfound companion.

Directed by John Guillermin, King Kong Lives delivers giant monster action, practical effects and 1980s adventure filmmaking on an epic scale.
