Yuen Biao stars as Shih Erh, a Taoist monk disciple who shelters a young scholar after a battle with demonic forces leaves him homeless and cursed. When the scholar falls in love with a benevolent ghost played by Joey Wang, their fragile romance becomes entangled with dark spirits, ancient magic, and a powerful ghost king determined to claim her soul. Directed by Wu Ma and steeped in the ghostly romantic tradition popularised by A Chinese Ghost Story, the film combines martial arts, folklore, and haunting imagery into a dreamlike cult favourite, now making its definitive Blu-ray debut.

directed by: wu ma
starring: yuen biao, joey wang, lawrence ng, wu ma, elizabeth lee
1987 / 97 min

Language: Cantonese
Audio: Mono

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0747/8096/6982/files/file_f1561f1d-a114-4fea-a4e5-dfc98ddc407f.jpg?v=1791343100
