Whoever Slew Auntie Roo? Blu-ray is a cult British horror thriller that blends psychological suspense, dark comedy and twisted fairy tale elements into one of the defining examples of 1970s hagsploitation cinema. Directed by Gordon Hessler from a screenplay co-written by Hammer Films veteran Jimmy Sangster, the film stars Shelley Winters in one of her most memorable horror performances.

Auntie Roo, a wealthy former actress, hosts an annual Christmas party for local orphans while secretly haunted by the tragic loss of her daughter. Manipulated by dishonest servants and a fraudulent medium, her fragile grip on reality finally shatters when she kidnaps a young orphan girl, convinced she has found her lost child. As the girl's brother desperately tries to rescue her, the story unfolds into a darkly comic reimagining of Hansel and Gretel, filled with gothic atmosphere, psychological tension and macabre twists.

Painstakingly restored in 2K from the original camera negatives by Hammer, Whoever Slew Auntie Roo? remains a stylish holiday horror classic featuring an outstanding supporting cast including Ralph Richardson, Lionel Jeffries and Mark Lester.
