A Grand Mockery [Blu-ray]

A Grand Mockery Blu-ray presents a boundary-pushing, super-8–shot psychological oddity from directors adam c. briggs and sam dixon, released on region free Blu-ray with a special limited edition slipcover restricted to 1,000 units. When josie’s stagnant, isolated life collapses under the weight of mental illness, he flees to the rainforests of queensland in search of meaning, escape, and transformation. Structured as a playful diptych that slowly mutates from deadpan dark comedy into something stranger and more introspective, the film mirrors its protagonist’s fractured inner state through tactile textures, lo-fi visuals, and tonal shifts. Championing filmmakers who live between arthouse and genre, this yellow veil pictures release captures a raw, unsettling portrait of identity, displacement, and psychological drift.
