Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) and her friends are plagued by horrifying nightmares involving a burned and razor-gloved killer named Freddy Krueger. When the teenagers begin dying in their sleep, Nancy realizes the nightmare is real and that Freddy can strike from within the dream world itself.

As the adults around her dismiss the terrifying truth, Nancy must confront Freddy alone in a desperate battle between dreams and reality. Stylish, inventive and deeply unsettling, A Nightmare on Elm Street remains one of the defining horror films of the 1980s and the film that introduced one of cinema’s most iconic villains.
