Above the Law [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Above the Law 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Andrew Davis’ 1988 action thriller newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative. Steven Seagal makes his screen acting debut as Nico Toscani, a former Special Operations veteran, Aikido expert and Chicago cop who uncovers something much bigger while investigating an international drug ring.

When the suspects are allowed to walk free and Nico is ordered to turn in his badge and gun, he refuses to back down. With his family, friends and partner Jax in danger, Nico takes the fight into his own hands, closing in on ex-CIA operatives, a political conspiracy and a violent crime lord operating in the shadows.

Directed by Andrew Davis and co-starring Pam Grier, Henry Silva and Sharon Stone, Above the Law is a hard-hitting late-1980s action thriller set against the streets of Chicago. This 2-disc release includes a new director-approved 4K restoration, new commentary with Andrew Davis and Pam Grier, composer interview, archival Steven Seagal interview, newly scanned theatrical trailer and slipcover packaging.
