Accion Mutante [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Accion Mutante 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Álex de la Iglesia’s wild 1993 sci-fi action cult classic in its first official American release from Severin Films. Set in a dystopian future ruled by the wealthy and beautiful, the film follows Mutant Action, a violent underground group of outcasts who kidnap an heiress and flee to a desolate mining planet.

What begins as a radical act quickly spirals into an intergalactic bloodbath of betrayal, revenge and absurdist chaos. Blending science fiction, black comedy, action and punk provocation, Accion Mutante introduced Álex de la Iglesia’s explosive filmmaking style before The Day of the Beast, Perdita Durango and 30 Coins.

Co-produced by Agustín and Pedro Almodóvar and winner of three Goya Awards, Accion Mutante is a delirious, aggressive and one-of-a-kind genre blast. This 2-disc Region Free release features the film scanned in 4K from the original negative, with new special features including commentary, new interviews, archival making-of material, behind-the-scenes footage, music video, storyboards, trailer and slipcover packaging.
