Aesthetics Of A Bullet [Limited Edition] [Blu-ray]

Aesthetics Of A Bullet Limited Edition Blu-ray arrives from Radiance with a striking portrait of desperation and delusion in 1970s Japanese crime cinema. Directed by Sadao Nakajima, this long-overlooked yakuza drama follows a small-time street vendor selected by a gang to provoke chaos in rival territory. Armed with a flashy suit, a pistol, and a pocketful of cash, he suddenly feels untouchable — until reality exposes the gulf between posturing and pulling the trigger.

With a fiercely committed performance by Tsunehiko Watase that predates Robert De Niro’s Travis Bickle by three years, Aesthetics Of A Bullet channels the paranoia and alienation of the era through a uniquely Japanese lens. Produced through the Art Theatre Guild after major studios declined to finance it, the film stands as a raw, uncompromising counterpoint to mainstream yakuza cinema and remains a vital rediscovery for fans of hard-edged crime storytelling.
