An Angel For Satan [Blu-ray]

The An Angel for Satan Blu-ray marks the first authorized American release of Barbara Steele’s final—and one of her fiercest—Italian Gothic performances. When a cursed statue is dredged from a lakeside villa, a quiet village is thrown into turmoil as a young heiress begins to shift between innocence and malevolence. Seduction, possession and madness intertwine as Steele delivers one of her most hypnotic mid-’60s roles, supported by Anthony Steffen, Claudio Gora and Marina Berti. Directed by Camillo Mastrocinque, the film is presented from a new 2K scan of the original negative with both the Italian audio and the long-lost English dub recovered from a Rome vault, making this release the most complete and definitive version ever offered.
