Animale [Blu-ray]

Animale Blu-ray presents a fierce and atmospheric body-horror fable that blends folklore, transformation and feminist rage into a strikingly original genre work.

Set in the Camargue region of southern France, the film follows Nejma, a young woman determined to prove herself within a male-dominated bullfighting tradition. As violence begins to unsettle the community and a loose bull becomes the target of fear and suspicion, Nejma finds herself drawn into a darker, more mysterious transformation that blurs the boundaries between human and animal, myth and reality.

Directed by Emma Benestan, the film combines sensual imagery, mounting dread and visceral body-horror elements while grounding its surrealism in questions of power, identity and resistance. The result is a bold and unsettling vision that stands out within contemporary genre cinema.
