Arcade (Remastered) [Blu-ray]

Arcade Blu-ray brings Full Moon’s cult 1993 techno-horror fever dream to high definition, capturing a moment when virtual reality paranoia, arcade obsession, and sci-fi thrillers collided. Written by David S. Goyer and directed by cult filmmaker Albert Pyun, Arcade taps into early ’90s fears about video games blurring the line between fantasy and reality — and turning deadly.

A mysterious new game called Arcade sweeps through town, promising the ultimate immersive experience. But once players jack in, they begin to disappear, trapped inside a digital nightmare where each level raises the stakes. As teens across the city fall under the game’s spell, only Alex (Megan Ward) and Nick (Peter Billingsley) realize the truth: Arcade isn’t just a game — it’s a predator. With reality collapsing and time running out, they must confront the system itself before it consumes them for good.

Packed with neon-soaked visuals, early CGI experimentation, and unmistakable Full Moon energy, Arcade stands alongside films like Brainscan and The Lawnmower Man as a snapshot of pre-internet cyber panic. This newly remastered Blu-ray presents the film from the best available elements, restoring Pyun’s pulpy sci-fi thriller for a new generation of cult collectors.
