Body Heat [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Body Heat 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray ignites Lawrence Kasdan’s smoldering neo-noir classic in a director-approved edition that redefined the erotic thriller for a new era. Set along the sultry South Florida coast, the film follows small-town lawyer Ned Racine (William Hurt) as he tumbles into a torrid affair with the enigmatic Matty Walker (Kathleen Turner, in a star-making performance). What begins as desire soon curdles into conspiracy, as the pair hatch a plan to murder her wealthy husband.

With its ingenious twists, razor-sharp dialogue, and atmosphere thick enough to feel the humidity, Body Heat blends the fatalistic mood of 1940s film noir with 1980s sensuality. This Criterion Collection release restores the film’s languid heat and moral darkness with striking clarity, reaffirming its legacy as one of the most influential American crime dramas of its decade.
