Boutique: To Preserve and Collect [Blu-ray]

Boutique: To Preserve and Collect Blu-ray presents Ry Levey’s 2024 documentary about the rise of boutique Blu-ray collecting, film preservation and specialty home video labels. A love letter to physical media and cinephile culture, the film explores the people and companies working to restore, rescue and reintroduce overlooked cinema to new audiences.

Through interviews with filmmakers, actors, historians, collectors and industry voices, the documentary looks at the passion behind the modern collectible Blu-ray movement. From rediscovered cult films to deluxe restorations and limited-edition releases, Boutique highlights the community built around preserving movies that might otherwise disappear.

Featuring Chris Alexander, Lizzie Borden, David Gregory, Samm Deighan, Lisa Petrucci, Carolyn Mauricette and more, Boutique: To Preserve and Collect is a fitting tribute to the labels, fans and archivists keeping film history alive. This Region A Blu-ray edition includes commentary, interview outtakes, trailer, short films and English SDH subtitles. The limited edition slipcover was limited to 500 units and is now sold out.
