Calvaire Limited Edition (UK Import) Region B Blu-ray presents Fabrice Du Welz’s harrowing debut feature in a definitive collector’s edition. When a travelling cabaret singer becomes stranded in a remote rural region of France, a seemingly generous offer of shelter mutates into psychological imprisonment as his unstable host projects grief and obsession onto an unwilling surrogate. Bleakly comic, cruel, and deeply unsettling, Calvaire dismantles survival-horror expectations, blending folk nightmare and existential dread into an experience that leaves no easy escape.
