Central Station (UK Import) [4K Ultra HD + Region B Blu-ray]

Central Station 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Walter Salles’ acclaimed 1998 Brazilian drama in a UK import release from Curzon Film. Restored in 4K, the film follows Dora, a former schoolteacher who writes letters for illiterate passengers at Rio de Janeiro’s Central Station, and Josué, a young boy left alone after the death of his mother.

As Dora and Josué travel across Brazil in search of the father he has never known, their uneasy bond becomes a moving story of grief, trust, resilience and redemption. Nominated for two Academy Awards and featuring a landmark performance from Fernanda Montenegro, Central Station remains one of the most celebrated Brazilian films of the 1990s.

This UK import edition includes the 4K restoration on region-free 4K UHD and Region B Blu-ray, commentary with Walter Salles, Arthur Cohn and Fernanda Montenegro, Salles’ documentary Socorro Nobre, making-of featurette, theatrical re-release trailer, English SDH subtitles, new essay and double-sided poster.
