Citizen Sleuth [Blu-ray]

Citizen Sleuth Blu-ray presents Chris Kasick’s 2025 documentary about true crime, podcasting and the responsibilities that come with public investigation. The film follows Emily Nestor, host of the podcast Mile Marker 181, as she investigates a mysterious death and builds a large online audience around the case.

As the podcast grows, Emily’s search for answers becomes increasingly complicated, raising questions about media attention, personal investment and the line between storytelling and accountability. What begins as a true-crime investigation becomes a broader portrait of ambition, doubt and the unstable world of new media.

Featuring Emily Nestor, Roger Nolan, Nancy Grace and Paul Holes, Citizen Sleuth chronicles the rise and fall of an Appalachian podcaster navigating truth, speculation and public scrutiny. This Region A Blu-ray edition includes audio commentary, trailer, English subtitles and a limited edition slipcover.
