Colony Mutation (Collector's Edition) [Blu-ray]

Colony Mutation Blu-ray presents Tom Berna’s rarely seen 1995 body-horror oddity in a Visual Vengeance collector’s edition, newly restored from original Super 8 film elements. When a jealous genetic scientist experiments on her unfaithful husband, the results are grotesque and unforgettable: his body parts detach, develop lives of their own, and roam the streets in search of human flesh. Playing like a warped domestic thriller colliding with stop-motion splatter cinema, Colony Mutation blends DIY ingenuity, outrageous effects, and a cautionary tale of obsession and unchecked desire. Long unavailable and circulating largely through VHS lore, this release finally gives the film the attention it deserves.
