Crime Story 4K Ultra HD brings Jackie Chan’s gritty departure from his usual action-comedy roles to collectors in a new 4K remaster from the original negatives. Directed by Kirk Wong, this hard-edged crime thriller showcases a more serious and intense side of Chan in one of his most acclaimed dramatic performances.
CID inspector Eddie Chan (Jackie Chan) is assigned to protect a wealthy businessman, only for the man to be kidnapped under his watch. As the investigation unfolds across Hong Kong and Taipei, Chan becomes increasingly determined to track down those responsible.
Unbeknownst to him, corruption runs deeper than expected — his own partner, Inspector Hung (Kent Cheng), is secretly involved in the crime. As the conspiracy tightens around him, Chan must navigate betrayal, pressure from his superiors, and his own personal demons to uncover the truth.
