Cruel Tales Of The Bohachi Limited Edition (UK Import) [4K Ultra HD + Region B Blu-ray]

Cruel Tales Of The Bohachi Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray brings together two of the most notorious works from cult director Teruo Ishii and filmmaker Takashi Harada. Based on the acclaimed manga by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima, this Masters of Cinema collection presents Code of the Forgotten Eight and The Villain together for the first time on UK home video.

Code of the Forgotten Eight follows the nihilistic ronin Shino Ashita, who joins the ruthless Bohachi clan, a corrupt group of samurai operating a vast prostitution ring. Acting as their assassin in a brutal war against a rival clan, he is drawn ever deeper into a world of violence, betrayal and depravity. In The Villain, condemned criminal Kyushi Issho becomes entangled with the infamous Bohachi samurai, leading him into an equally savage world of bloodshed and corruption.

Blending samurai action with the provocative style of 1970s Japanese exploitation cinema, these films stand as landmark examples of the ero guro jidaigeki genre.
