Dante's Inferno (1911) (US Import) [Blu-ray]

Dante's Inferno 1911 Blu-ray presents one of cinema’s earliest feature-length horror films in a new 4K restoration from surviving elements, bringing the landmark Italian production back to home video more than a century after its original release.

Loosely adapted from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, the film follows Dante, played by Salvatore Papa, as he is guided through the Nine Circles of Hell and encounters increasingly elaborate visions of punishment, sin and damnation. Created between 1908 and 1911, the production became an extraordinary showcase for early cinematic effects and visual experimentation.

Terror Vision presents multiple versions of the film, including tinted, red-tinted and black-and-white presentations, along with a new film historian commentary and three newly commissioned musical scores. The limited edition also includes a slipcover designed by Godmachine, limited to 2,000 copies.
