Darklands Blu-ray presents Julian Richards’ grim 1996 folk-horror thriller in a remastered collector’s edition. After losing his job in London, journalist Frazer Truick returns to his Welsh hometown and becomes entangled in an investigation into a suspicious industrial death tied to a shadowy pagan cult. What begins as a search for truth quickly spirals into paranoia, violence, and ritualistic horror as Frazer uncovers a conspiracy that may already have marked him for sacrifice. Bleak, oppressive, and steeped in industrial dread, Darklands blends investigative thriller tropes with British folk horror to unsettling effect.
