Dead Hunt Limited Edition [Blu-ray]

Dead Hunt LE Blu-ray is a love letter to independent horror filmmaking, combining slasher mayhem, self-aware humour and old-school practical effects into a blood-soaked celebration of genre fandom. Directed by cult filmmaker Don Dohler alongside longtime collaborator Joe Ripple, the film serves as both a tribute to horror culture and a showcase for the DIY spirit that defined Dohler's career.

On the eve of a local horror convention, a group of online horror critics gather for a party in an isolated warehouse. What begins as a night of celebration quickly turns deadly when the building is locked down, the power is cut and a masked killer emerges from the shadows. As the body count rises, the murderer recreates death scenes inspired by films reviewed on the critics' website, revealing a twisted vendetta against those who dared to criticize a forgotten independent slasher.

Packed with practical gore effects, genre in-jokes and appearances from familiar faces in regional horror cinema, Dead Hunt remains a fascinating late-career entry in Don Dohler's filmography. Long unavailable outside its original self-distributed DVD-R release, this edition finally brings the cult slasher back to physical media with an extensive collection of bonus features.
