Dead Or Alive Trilogy [Blu-ray]

Dead Or Alive Trilogy Blu-ray brings together three of the most outrageous and inventive crime films from director Takashi Miike. Blending explosive action, dark humour and unexpected emotional depth, the trilogy helped establish Miike internationally as one of the boldest filmmakers in Japanese cinema.

Each film features iconic actors Riki Takeuchi and Sho Aikawa in different roles across three wildly distinct stories that range from brutal yakuza warfare to surreal sci-fi chaos.

This collection includes:

Dead or Alive (1999)
Dead or Alive 2: Birds (2000)
Dead or Alive: Final (2002)

The original Dead or Alive opens with one of the most infamous montages in cult cinema before launching into a violent turf war between gangster Ryuichi and relentless detective Jojima in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district. Dead or Alive 2: Birds takes a surprising turn as rival assassins discover their shared childhood past and attempt to redeem themselves by protecting vulnerable children. Dead or Alive: Final leaps into a dystopian future where cyborg soldiers, multinational gangs and rebellion collide in a cyberpunk finale.

Wildly unpredictable and constantly reinventing itself, the Dead Or Alive Trilogy showcases Miike’s unique ability to blend extreme genre filmmaking with powerful character drama.
