Death on the Nile [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Death on the Nile 4K Ultra HD marks Peter Ustinov’s first appearance as Agatha Christie’s iconic detective Hercule Poirot in one of the most lavish and star-studded mysteries of the classic Christie cycle. Set aboard a luxurious cruise along the Nile River, the film transforms sunlit romance into a pressure cooker of jealousy, secrets, and lethal intent.

When a wealthy newlywed heiress is found murdered on the voyage, Poirot is faced with a ship full of elegant suspects, each hiding motives beneath polite smiles and evening wear. As the river carries them deeper into Egypt, the investigation tightens into a masterclass of misdirection, timing, and psychological insight. The sprawling ensemble cast includes Bette Davis, David Niven, Angela Lansbury, Mia Farrow, Maggie Smith, Jane Birkin, George Kennedy, Olivia Hussey, and many more, making every scene crackle with personality.

Directed by John Guillermin and adapted by Anthony Shaffer, Death on the Nile pairs classic Christie plotting with sweeping location photography by Jack Cardiff and an unforgettable score by Nino Rota. This 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray edition presents the film from a new Dolby Vision master scanned from the original camera negative, with extensive archival supplements examining the production and performances.
