Death Screams Standard Edition [Blu-ray]

Death Screams Blu-ray resurrects a long-overlooked slice of early ’80s regional slasher cinema, pairing one of the unlikeliest creative combinations imaginable. Directed by former child star David Nelson of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet fame and starring Playboy Playmate Susan Kiger, this Southern-fried hack-and-slash oddity delivers pure grindhouse carnage. After a young couple are brutally murdered at a secluded make-out spot, their bodies drifting ominously downriver, a small town prepares for its annual carnival—completely unaware that a machete-wielding killer with a deeply personal grudge is stalking the night.

As teenagers plan a late-night cemetery after-party, Death Screams escalates into a full-blown bloodbath, culminating in an outrageous finale packed with throat slashes, bisected bodies and explosive gore. Released on VHS in the U.S. as House of Death and plagued by infamous presentation issues overseas, this little-seen slasher has finally been restored from the only known surviving 35mm print. Death Screams Blu-ray oozes regional charm, sleaze and savage invention, ready to earn its place in the hearts of hardcore slasher fans.
