Demigod: The Legend Begins Deluxe Limited Edition (US Import) [Blu-ray]

Demigod: The Legend Begins Deluxe Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Chris Huang’s 2022 Taiwanese fantasy wuxia spectacle from Pili International Multimedia and Deaf Crocodile Films. Building on the long-running PILI television universe, the film fuses traditional budaixi glove puppetry with martial arts adventure, elaborate fantasy world-building and large-scale cinematic action.

White-maned hero Su Huan-Jen is drawn into a mystery involving palace betrayal, occult manuscripts, powerful monsters and the struggle to control the Five Mountains. After the Lord of Globe Castle is murdered, Huan-Jen must prove his innocence, uncover the true killer and navigate a world of hidden agendas, strange powers and legendary artifacts.

Wildly imaginative and visually dazzling, Demigod: The Legend Begins is a unique blend of puppetry, wuxia storytelling and fantasy cinema. This deluxe limited edition Blu-ray includes commentary, a new director interview, visual essay, making-of featurettes, trailers, slipcase, booklet and new essays.
