Demigod the Legend Begins Standard Edition [Blu-ray]

Demigod: The Legend Begins Standard Edition Blu-ray presents Chris Huang’s 2022 Taiwanese fantasy adventure from Deaf Crocodile. Building on the long-running PILI universe and the tradition of budaixi glove puppetry, the film blends wuxia storytelling, fantasy spectacle, palace intrigue and elaborate puppet performance into a wildly imaginative martial arts epic.

White-maned hero Su Huan-Jen is drawn into a dangerous mystery involving the murder of the Lord of Globe Castle, occult manuscripts, political betrayal and the hunt for the Limitless Celestial Book. As he tries to prove his innocence and uncover the truth, the struggle for power over the Five Mountains pulls him into battles, monsters, rival factions and strange hidden secrets.

A fusion of traditional Taiwanese puppetry and cinematic fantasy action, Demigod: The Legend Begins is a visually inventive adventure for fans of wuxia, mythology and handcrafted genre spectacle. This Standard Edition Blu-ray includes a new director interview, commentary, visual essay, making-of featurettes, original trailer and PILI TV series trailers.
