Dr. Kildare: The Complete First Season (US Import) [DVD]

Arriving at Blair General Hospital, young intern James Kildare has the knowledge to treat illness but much to learn about the people who suffer from it. Under the watchful guidance of Dr. Leonard Gillespie, he faces cases that challenge his confidence, judgment and compassion. The hospital becomes a meeting place for patients from very different backgrounds, each carrying worries that cannot be resolved by medicine alone. Richard Chamberlain and Raymond Massey establish the central partnership of this influential medical drama, combining the urgency of hospital work with thoughtful stories about trust, duty and the difficult process of becoming a doctor.
