Driller [Blu-ray]

Driller Blu-ray unleashes one of the strangest adult horror curios ever to crawl out of the 1980s — a grimy collision of MTV-era spectacle, monster-movie mayhem, and sleazy musical excess. When a pop-star sensation known only as “Mr. J” vanishes, his biggest fans (led by adult icon Taija Rae) descend into a subterranean cabaret of werewolves, zombies, mutants, and other creatures driven by unrestrained desire. What follows is a hallucinatory descent into temptation, transformation, and flesh-driven fame, where pop fantasy mutates into grotesque nightmare and the drilling inevitably begins.

Shot quickly at the height of the cultural shockwave created by Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Driller plays like a warped, half-remembered dream from the back corner of a long-forgotten adult video store. Packed with choreographed sound-alike dance numbers, funhouse-mirror sex scenes, and surprisingly ambitious makeup effects, this bizarre 1984 adult horror parody stands as a cult artifact of an era when pop culture and pornography collided in spectacularly unhinged fashion.
