Eureka (2000) Limited Edition (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Eureka Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Shinji Aoyama’s acclaimed 2000 Japanese drama on Blu-ray for the first time worldwide. Running nearly three and a half hours and presented almost entirely in sepia tone, this haunting and meditative film explores trauma, survival and the long emotional aftermath of tragedy.

In rural Japan, the survivors of a violent event are brought together as they attempt to rebuild their lives and confront the damage left behind. As a new threat emerges nearby, Eureka becomes a patient and deeply affecting portrait of grief, connection and the fragile process of moving forward.

Winner of the FIPRESCI Prize and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival, Eureka is one of Shinji Aoyama’s most celebrated works. This limited edition Australian import Blu-ray includes new interviews, new scholarly discussion, trailers, TV spot and optional English subtitles.
