Gamera: The Heisei Era Blu-ray Set presents one of the most celebrated kaiju trilogies ever made, newly restored and collected alongside Gamera the Brave. After fifteen years of dormancy, the franchise returned in the 1990s with a darker tone, groundbreaking special effects and a bold new mythology crafted by director Shusuke Kaneko, writer Kazunori Ito and SFX master Shinji Higuchi. Widely praised as the pinnacle of modern kaiju cinema, the Heisei trilogy reinvented Gamera for a new generation while preserving the heart of the classic monster.

As monstrous threats escalate—from the bioengineered menace of Gyaos to the apocalyptic rise of Legion to the devastating fury of Iris—Gamera becomes Earth’s lone protector against overwhelming destruction. This definitive collection includes new restorations, multi-part documentaries, archival interviews, behind-the-scenes materials and Gamera the Brave, the most recent film in the franchise.
