Gilda [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Gilda 4K Ultra HD presents one of the most iconic performances in classic Hollywood cinema, with Rita Hayworth delivering her definitive screen role in Charles Vidor’s sultry, psychologically charged film noir. Set amid the glittering casinos and shadowed back rooms of Buenos Aires, Gilda unfolds as a volatile battle of desire, jealousy, and power, anchored by one of the most famous star entrances in movie history.

Hayworth stars as the magnetic and unpredictable wife of a ruthless casino kingpin, whose arrival reignites a bitter rivalry with his former confidant, played by Glenn Ford. As passions escalate and loyalties shift, the film becomes an ever-changing duel between love and resentment, dominance and vulnerability. With razor-sharp dialogue, erotic undercurrents, and luminous black-and-white cinematography, Gilda remains one of the most sensual and enduring works of American noir.

This Criterion edition features a new 4K digital restoration, presented in Dolby Vision HDR, restoring the film’s striking contrast and visual depth. A slate of scholarly and filmmaker-led special features explores Rita Hayworth’s star power, the film’s cultural legacy, and its lasting influence on generations of filmmakers.
