Goodbye Paradise [Blu-ray]

Goodbye Paradise Blu-ray presents Carl Schulz’s 1982 Australian neo-noir thriller from Umbrella Entertainment and OCN Distribution. Sunburnt, cynical and politically charged, the film stars Ray Barrett as Michael Stacey, an ex-cop turned whistle-blower and reluctant private eye drifting through Queensland with a hangover and a hard-earned distrust of authority.

When the daughter of an old friend disappears, Stacey is drawn into a strange and dangerous case involving a free-love cult, a shadowy paramilitary group and a radical political conspiracy. What begins as a missing persons investigation soon spirals into a tangled world of corruption, deception and violence.

Also starring Robyn Nevin, Lex Marinos, Grant Dodwell, Paul Chubb, Kris McQuade and Mark Hembrow, Goodbye Paradise blends mystery, satire and offbeat humour into a cult favourite of Australian crime cinema. This Blu-ray edition includes audio commentary, new interviews, TV spot, English SDH subtitles and a limited slipcover designed by Tom Ralson.
