Grave of the Fireflies Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray + DVD]

Grave of the Fireflies Limited Edition Steelbook Blu-ray + DVD presents Isao Takahata’s devastating Studio Ghibli masterpiece in a collector’s Steelbook release. Set in the final days of World War II, the film follows 14-year-old Seita and his 4-year-old sister Setsuko after an American air raid kills their mother and leaves them struggling to survive in the devastated Japanese countryside.

After falling out with their only living relative, Seita tries to provide for himself and Setsuko by stealing food and sheltering in an abandoned bomb shelter. As supplies disappear and the world around them grows harsher, the siblings cling to brief moments of comfort, imagination and love.

Based on the personal accounts of survivor Akiyuki Nosaka, Grave of the Fireflies is one of the most powerful works in animated cinema. Beautiful, heartbreaking and deeply human, the film remains a singular achievement from Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata. This Limited Edition Steelbook includes the film on Blu-ray and DVD, with Japanese audio, 2012 English dub, 1998 English dub, feature-length storyboards, interviews, deleted scene storyboards, promotional video, image galleries, teasers and trailers.
