Gummo 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Harmony Korine’s incendiary 1997 debut in a director-approved UHD restoration. Set in a tornado-scarred Midwestern town and shot with a raw, collage-like aesthetic, Gummo drifts through the lives of local outcasts, fixating on moments of boredom, cruelty, tenderness, and spiritual emptiness. Korine’s fragmented approach blends documentary textures with surreal tableaux, creating a deeply unsettling yet strangely lyrical portrait of American life on the margins. Long regarded as one of the most controversial independent films of the 1990s, Gummo remains a singular work of transgressive cinema, restored here in 4K with Dolby Vision and supported by essential contextual supplements.
