Hands Of The Ripper [Blu-ray + DVD]

Hands Of The Ripper Blu-ray + DVD presents Hammer Films’ 1971 psychological gothic horror film, completely restored in high definition and released uncut on Blu-ray in the U.S. for the first time. Directed by Peter Sasdy, this chilling later-period Hammer title blends murder mystery, possession horror and Freudian psychology into one of the studio’s darkest tales.

As an infant, Anna witnesses a terrible crime committed by her father, the infamous Jack the Ripper. Years later, she is living under the control of a fake psychic when a séance ends in death. Dr. John Pritchard suspects Anna may be responsible, but the mystery surrounding her actions leads him toward a disturbing possibility.

Using new psychoanalytic techniques, Pritchard attempts to uncover the truth behind Anna’s violent episodes and discovers a terrifying connection to the legacy of the Ripper. Starring Angharad Rees and Eric Porter, Hands Of The Ripper remains one of Hammer’s most intense and unsettling horror films.
