High Art [Blu-ray]

High Art Blu-ray presents Lisa Cholodenko’s acclaimed debut feature in a new 4K restoration, offering a sharp and intimate portrait of ambition, addiction, and desire within the New York art world. Anchored by a revelatory performance from Ally Sheedy, the film blends character study with a deeply affecting queer romance.

Lucy Berliner (Ally Sheedy), a once-celebrated photographer now living in seclusion and addiction, finds her world disrupted when Syd (Radha Mitchell), an ambitious magazine editor, enters her life. As creative collaboration turns into emotional entanglement, their relationship becomes increasingly complex, blurring the lines between art, power, and vulnerability.

Stripping away the illusion of artistic glamour, High Art delivers a raw and honest exploration of identity, connection, and the cost of creative pursuit, securing its place as a defining work of 1990s independent and queer cinema.
