High Road to China Blu-ray presents Brian G. Hutton’s 1983 adventure comedy starring Tom Selleck and Bess Armstrong. Set in the 1920s, the film blends aerial action, old-fashioned romance and globe-trotting escapades, with a score by John Barry and a supporting cast that includes Wilford Brimley, Brian Blessed, Jack Weston and Robert Morley.
Patrick O’Malley is a washed-up aviator hired by heiress Eve Tozer to help find her missing father somewhere in Asia. Travelling east in O’Malley’s First World War biplane, the mismatched pair clash their way through narrow escapes, dangerous encounters and high-flying adventure.
A light, breezy action-adventure with classic matinee charm, High Road to China arrives on UK import Region B Blu-ray with new interviews, a new appreciation and the original theatrical trailer.
