I Stand Alone (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

This hard-to-find cult title is an Australian import re-press/restock on region free Blu-ray with French audio and English subtitles.

I Stand Alone Blu-ray presents Gaspar Noé’s confrontational debut feature in a region free Australian import release from Accent Films. Stark, abrasive and psychologically intense, the film follows a bitter, isolated former butcher as he attempts to rebuild his life in 1980s France.

After time in prison, the Butcher tries to start over, but unemployment, resentment and a broken domestic life push him further into anger and despair. Trapped in a cramped existence and alienated from the world around him, he begins to spiral toward a breaking point.

Bleak, provocative and uncompromising, I Stand Alone established many of the themes and formal extremes that would define Noé’s later work. This hard-to-find cult title arrives on region free Blu-ray with French audio and English subtitles.
