Bing Crosby and Gloria Jean star in David Butler’s 1940 musical comedy about a construction worker who unexpectedly becomes responsible for a child. After his friend dies in an accident, Buzz Blackwell and his colleague Axel take the man’s daughter Patricia to New York to find her family.
The trip becomes more complicated when Axel spends money meant for Patricia on a failing Swedish restaurant. Buzz must find a way to rescue the business and protect the girl’s future, with music and a circle of veteran performers helping to drive the story. Charles Winninger and El Brendel co-star.
This one-disc Blu-ray presents the black-and-white film in 1.33:1, with English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 mono and English SDH. The source lists a 94-minute running time.
