Island of the Fishmen [Blu-ray]

Island of the Fishmen Blu-ray presents Sergio Martino’s 1979 Italian adventure-horror film from Delirium Home Video. Taking inspiration from The Island of Dr. Moreau and The Shadow Over Innsmouth, the film blends tropical adventure, mad science, lost-city mystery and creature-feature atmosphere.

After surviving a disaster at sea, Lieutenant Claude de Ross washes up on a remote tropical island alongside a group of escaped convicts. The island is home to strange amphibious creatures created by Professor Ernest Marvin, a disgraced biologist whose experiments are tied to a hidden city beneath the waves.

Starring Barbara Bach, Richard Johnson, Joseph Cotten and Claudio Cassinelli, Island of the Fishmen is one of Sergio Martino’s strangest and most colourful genre films. This Region A Blu-ray edition presents the film in HD with commentary, new interview, trailer, English SDH subtitles and a limited edition spot gloss slipcover.
