Johnny Handsome [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Johnny Handsome 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Walter Hill’s tough 1989 neo-noir crime thriller starring Mickey Rourke, Ellen Barkin, Lance Henriksen, Morgan Freeman, Forest Whitaker and Elizabeth McGovern. Newly presented from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative, the film blends prison drama, revenge thriller and hard-edged crime cinema with Hill’s signature style.

John Sedley, nicknamed Johnny Handsome because of his facial differences, is a small-time criminal betrayed during a robbery that leaves his friend dead and sends Johnny to prison. While incarcerated, he is offered reconstructive surgery and a chance to start over with a new identity.

Back on the outside, Johnny tries to leave his old life behind, but the people who betrayed him are still out there. As the chance for revenge pulls him back toward danger, Johnny Handsome becomes a sharp, stylish story of fate, identity and payback from one of American cinema’s great action directors.
