Killer: A Journal of Murder (1995) Limited Edition (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Killer: A Journal of Murder (1995) Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Tim Metcalfe’s true-crime prison drama in an Australian import region free release. Based on the story of Carl Panzram, the film stars James Woods as a deeply troubled inmate serving time at Leavenworth, where he forms an unlikely connection with young prison guard Henry Lesser, played by Robert Sean Leonard.

Lesser believes in reform and gives Panzram writing materials so he can record his life story. What emerges is a disturbing account of violence, guilt and self-loathing, forcing difficult questions about punishment, redemption and whether some people are truly beyond saving.

Anchored by a powerful performance from James Woods, who won Best Actor at the Sitges Film Festival for the role, Killer: A Journal of Murder is a grim and intense character study from writer-director Tim Metcalfe. This worldwide Blu-ray premiere includes commentary, new interviews, English DTS-HD MA 5.1 and LPCM 2.0 audio, English HOH subtitles and limited edition packaging.
