Ladies In Retirement 1941 Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Charles Vidor’s atmospheric psychological melodrama in its worldwide Blu-ray debut from Imprint. Adapted from the successful 1939 Broadway play, the film unfolds inside an isolated English country house where family obligation, resentment and murder slowly tighten their grip.

Ellen Creed works as housekeeper and companion to her wealthy friend Leonora Fiske, a retired actress. When Ellen’s eccentric sisters come to stay, tensions inside the household steadily escalate. After the conflict ends in murder, the crime is carefully concealed, but suspicion and guilt threaten to expose what happened.

Beautifully photographed and driven by steadily mounting tension, Ladies In Retirement earned Academy Award nominations for Best Art Direction and Best Original Score. This Limited Edition Australian import includes a 1080p Blu-ray presentation, theatrical trailer and English HOH subtitles, limited to 1,500 copies.
