Lake Mungo (2008) (Australian Import) [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray]

Lake Mungo 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray brings Joel Anderson’s devastating mockumentary horror to life in a stunning Dolby Vision presentation. A landmark of modern Australian horror, Lake Mungo remains one of the most unsettling and emotionally resonant found-footage films ever made, blending documentary realism with creeping existential dread.

When sixteen-year-old Alice Palmer drowns, her grieving family struggles to move forward. But strange occurrences begin to plague their home, leading them to uncover secrets about Alice’s hidden life. What unfolds is a haunting meditation on loss, memory, and the unknowable spaces between the living and the dead. Quiet, restrained, and deeply disturbing, Lake Mungo lingers long after the final frame.

This expansive 3-disc 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray set also includes Lake Mungo Revisited, a massive 3-hour retrospective featuring cast, crew, and filmmakers including Justin Kurzel, Mike Flanagan, Eduardo Sánchez, and David Dastmalchian, exploring the film’s legacy and enduring impact.
