Le professionnel Blu-ray delivers one of Jean-Paul Belmondo’s defining action performances, blending espionage thrills with bitter political intrigue. When secret agent Josselin Beaumont is betrayed by his own government during a mission in Africa, he is imprisoned and left to rot. Two years later, he escapes and returns to France with a single purpose: to complete the assassination he was ordered to carry out — and to expose those who abandoned him.

Directed by Georges Lautner, this French classic pairs Belmondo’s athletic charisma with razor-sharp suspense, as Beaumont toys with his former superiors while evading the relentless Commissioner Rosen (Robert Hossein). Elevated by Ennio Morricone’s unforgettable theme “Chi mai,” Le professionnel stands as a high point in Belmondo’s action career and a landmark of 1980s European thrillers.
